Remember me?
Where did I get to?
Where did I get to?
Did I fall off the Earth?
Nope.
But I fell into a hole.
Nope.
But I fell into a hole.
Without really realizing it, two or more weeks have passed since I've written a post. I wish I could say that it was because I went on some super exciting adventures, I saw some beautiful things, I rediscovered Eleanor and my falling-off-the-Earth resulted in me finding myself in a better, happier place.
I wish I could, but I can't.
I wish I could, but I can't.
I did go and see Alice in Wonderland, and she took me on an adventure. She held onto my hand and together we tumbled down the rabbit hole, into a world like no other, yet one I was so familiar with.
A world where I was either too big or too small, too short or too tall.
I was never right, but always wrong.
A world where I was expected to do things I didn't want to do.
I couldn't make up my mind, because my mind wasn't my own.
I was told to drink, to eat,
Do this, but not that!
A world in which nothing made sense.
A nightmare; only I was fully awake.
These past two weeks have been full to the brim with stress, anxiety, pressure, expectations. Meetings, talks, appointments.
Due-dates, assignments, tasks.
School has been mostly to blame for this. I've found it extremely hard to cope.
My weight has dropped. Not significantly, but significantly enough to affect my mood, my concentration and ability to get through an entire day without conking out.

I've lost my ability to write. I cannot, for whatever reason, put words on paper and be okay with what I've written. I've failed to do essays on time, sit Exams, even writing diary entries.
Writing is what I do. It's how I express myself. It's my passion, it's what I love.
Losing that, I feel like I've lost what I did have of myself.

I am seriously clutching onto the lightest, shortest, weakest whisps of air, in the hope that they might lead me to an answer, or to at least bathe me in momentary peace and freshness.
It hasn't worked. The air around me, if anything, is suffocating me, pressing down on me.

I know what needs to be done, and I tell myself that I'm 'trying', but I don't know if that's true.
I'm digging myself deeper and deeper into this hole and this nightmare is becoming more and more livid, more and more real.

Pinch me, will you?
I think it's time I woke up.
I think it's time I woke up.
I love you all; I haven't forgotten about you, given up on you, moved on from you.
You are all in my heart, every day. I think about you, send you love, follow you, read your progress. I want to give you all advice, help, information.
All I can give you, though, is my love and support.
I hope that's enough.

Aw Eleanor...any loss is significant when you have an ED - I'm very worried about you flower, especially with all the stress of school as well. Recovery is a big committment, and it takes alot of time and energy that perhaps school is taking away from you right now?
Either way, seems like school isn't really helping the situation, and I'm wondering if you are getting enough support with your ED...
If you want to chat you know my email...
Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog, you are a very sweet caring person and I want to see you set free from this horrible place...
Remember you need to help yourself first and foremost, don't worry about needing to comment/support others, we will continue to be here regardless. Focus on you, nothing else matters at the moment except you and your recovery.
Don't give up on yourself missy

Welcome back!!!!!! How i have missed you!!!!!! Im sorry to hear the past 2 weeks have been so stressful - but i am happy to see you are back and doing what you love and are best at - Writing - you are an incredible writer - talented and inspriational and most of all honest!!!!! I admire your strength and courage - i know you will pull thru this!!!!!!! stay strong Eleanor!!!! lol aimee
Eleanor, I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling.
Take your lack of words as a sign - a sign that it is not too late. Just as quickly as the words seemed to have left your brain, they CAN return to it... but only if you try. You have the power to make all your dreams come true, and make you real world a wonderful wonderland where you are always the right size, and always happy.
Restoring your weight is crucial at this point.. I know it seems like it will only make things worse, but it won't. Your brain simply can't work if it isn't healthy enough, and you are losing your passion because of it. Throughout my weight gain, I have LIVED my passions again, and there is nothing quite like that feeling. You can, and WILL, do this, because you deserve to be living the life that you were meant to live.
You haven't lost the fight quite yet m'dear :) Great things lie ahead.. I know it.

take care of yourself. You need health, nourishment, freedom from this jail ED has put you in. Please don't sink deeper into this hole. You are too amazing for that!!
Love you, praying for you, thinking about you.
xoxo
stay strong.
I was very pleased when I noticed you wrote a new post this morning. I am, however, sad and worried for you. Know that your struggles are just struggles. They are not the end of your life, just bumps in the road to get where you want to be.
This quesiton has been asked for a long time: how do we get over these struggles? Well, we try our best. If others can't seem to wrap their head around the fact that we ARE trying our best we need to give them a big F U, because even though certain struggles in life may be similar, the people experiencing them are all COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!
I've never lived with an ED and I don't know what it's like to feel what you feel. However, I know very well what it feels like to be neglected because of my body image or even the way I think. Know that if you keep trying and put your mind in the right place (the place that knows you are beautiful and strong) you will get to be even more beautiful, even more strong, and you will eventually become healthy both in the mind and in the body.
It seems as though this ED has got the best of you. I've always had this theory with ED... I find that because "society" (I hate that word) calls it a "disorder" people think they are ABNORMAL. Truth is, you are not abnormal, you are just struggling because of your mindset and the people around you. Yes, you are not healthy. Yes, you are not eating properly. But, are you disfunctional? No. Somewhere inside of you, you still have the spark that the ED and "society" have taken away. Find that spark, and you can achieve everything.
Find our Eleanor-ness and be strong because you have so many things to live for.
I hope you get healthy. I hope you can shake this "disorder" and move on, because, even though I do not know you, you're worth a healthy life.
eleanor! seriously, you're the first blog i have commented in about a month. i love you dearly girl, and i absolutely hate seeing you like this! weight is just a number, but losing what you love most is not good! ED is out to get you love, and you're strong enough to fight back i KNOW it. i've seen it.
you WILL get eleanor back, and you ARE still that amazing girl i've known for the past few months. learn to love yourself as much as we all do girl, and you'll be set :)
I LOVE YOU ELEANORRR AND I MISS YOU! kick some ED ass, por favor :)
♥ lindsey
my sweet sweet eleanor,
I love you with all of my heart and i am ALWAYS here for you whenever you need me. i'm all ears :] hehe. love disney...
take as MUCH time as you need to find what you are looking for, though you must remember to stay on track while in search. i'm so sorry you are struggling, i am too =/ but try to remember WHY we are doing this? WHY you want to recover? isn't writing more important to you than a silly number on a scale?
love you baby
stay strong.
I wish there were some kind of words of wisdom I could offer you right now, but I can't. Much like you I'm struggling EVERY day. Some days I'm just better at hiding it. I can walk around with a smile on my face and be screaming out in pain on the inside. I think we are only due credit if we at least keep trying. Make an effort to recover. Don't think about the what ifs and the maybes. It's not about picking and choosing the battles we wanna fight in a day. We know what we have to do already, but the question is are we strong enough to keep trying? Keep at it and don't loose focus. This is the only life we've got, and we have to make the best of it! You are such a talented writer and communicater. I would kill to be able to express myself the way you do. I hope you keep fighting right now, if only for the people who love and care for you!
Oh, Eleanor :( I'm sorry to see that your absence wasn't the result of happier times. I love the way to related yourself to Alice, I felt much the same when I read the book and saw the movie. Take care of yourself, beautiful! Love you. -Kylee
Baby,so proud of you for writing this extremely honest post - it may feel you have lost your ability, but believe me, it is still there!!
You know everything we have said in our messages - I am with you and YOU CAN DO THIS,despite how it feels now!!
WE WILL WIN, TOGETHER!!
We will talk soon.xxoo
jennifer.
I missed you Eleanor, I'm glad you're back.
We are all falling down a hole, but like Alice, we have to know where we came from, who we (really) are, and where we are going.
She believed in herself, and I believe in you!
Oh, baby girl, I know this place all too well. I can clearly remember the hell I was going through when anorexia stole my ability to write. I remember the fog. I remember the fatigue. I remember every day being sheer torment...
I know it's hard, hun, but you can't let the stress push you further into your ED. Restriction may feel comforting at first, but in the long run it's only making your ability to properly cope with stress that much weaker. I know, personally, when I started to take better care of my body, the anxiety lessened. It may not seem to be working at first, but you have to see it through, love.
You're strong; I know you are. You can do this, Eleanor. Make getting healthy a goal, as I'm sure you know in your heart that that is the solution. <3
You still have the ability to write. But I know the place where you're at. I was terrified that anorexia would take away my ability to write to and writing has always been the one thing that I've felt I could do. I'm sorry that things are so hard right now and I wish I could magically make them better. You need to do what you need to take care of yourself. And I wonder like Sarah if school is really adding stress that you don't need. Maybe you could think about taking off for a bit to work on recovery. I don't know but it seems that you have been really stressed with it lately and it's so hard to recover when you have added stress like that.
